Run Witmans in normal mode. You don't want a low retention rate because then you don't get shat for unlucky points. You want a semi high 60-75%. You will break every 3-4 chests. Or run it in HM so it'll break every 2-3, probably the best bet.

Witmans is by far the easiest run, but if you're looking to make a few k back from drops avoid it. I ran 5k chests there and got zip worth selling.

If you want to maximize your time this week end and open as many chests you can. I recommend chest running in the layer of the forgotten snowmen. Use a perma assassin you get 2-5 chests in 2 mins it is the fastest place to run chests that i know of.

It's not just how much points you get for breaking one, it also matters how often you break them. The optimum lies at 50%. The math is on wiki, but it's pretty easy to figure out.
With 6/6 in TH/Lucky (which is where I'm at as well), chests for which the keys cost 1250 would be perfect. I don't know a place where you can run those quickly though, so the next best thing is any chest on HM, for 40% retention.

I know a domain of fear run but it's only 1-2 chests per 6-12 minutes. So that's not that great. But couldn't you run in DoA? I suppose those might not be that great either. I'm only r3 in lucky so Witmans is the perfect place for me to run haha.

DoA can technically be ran, but the chests tend to be so spread apart that it's not worth it, at least on a consistent basis.
I intend to do Snowman Lair. Kill two or more birds with one stone.

agreed on DoA -- I ran the zone that starts out all dark (forget the name) because that's the only one that has a big enough area that a chest might spawn, but it spawned maybe 50% of the time and you had to run around to make sure you found it. The chance of a nice drop per run are miniscule but very time consuming. Gave up, not worth it.
I ran the boxing one, that seemed pretty fair, also ran the first zone in EoTN, was about the same
I never rain Snowman Lair, I'll try that. Im at 2.15 mill lucky, about 1/3 of the way to the last rank of unlucky. Already got GWaMM on my main, but since lucky is account-wide, it'll get all my other toons to R1 KoaBD.
Ideally perhaps someone could recommend a zone or run where the chests/hr are reasonable but there's nice rare skins too. Is it possible to have the best of both worlds?

Three birds, right?
1. deld rep
2. key drops
3. un/lucky title
This, or punchout extravanganza look semi-appealing (survivor/deld/drunkard)... Of course, raptor farm should net gold, keys and 1 chest every 3-7 runs for the saurian scythe (100 LOLz ANY/war builds @ 1min/run, asura rep)...

A friend of mine is running areas that feature Outcasts and their bosses. He's hoping for an Outcast shield. Aparently, those cost a lot of gold.

I'm currently 200k points from max Lucky and have max TH. I seem to be breaking a lockpick for every 2 hard mode chests. Then again, this is a purely subjective feeling. I haven't been keeping track of my lockpick use while vanquishing MT.
As far as Witman's Folly drops go - I've ran a bit over a thousand chests there. Got my money back without any problems. Chests tend to drop runes and an occassional Sup Vigor can really brighten your day.

- Deldrimor Reputation
- Normal Drops
- Lockpick Drops
- Lucky from Lockpick retention on Chests
- Unlucky from Lockpick breaks on Chests
- Sugar Points
- Party Points
- Alcohol Points
- DP removers
- 250g from quest
I say Secret Lair of the Snowmen NM is FTW, aslong as your rank is below 8. You get the same chance of Lockpick drops, Better retention/Higher unlucky from break and the ennemies go down slightly faster. If you really need the reputation and are above rank 8 go HM. Same lockpick drop and ennemies really arent much harder but lockpick rention is slightly lower and lower unlucky.
Go as yourself with 2-3 monks for speed and 5-6 Minion Masters and watch the minions fly, there sure are enough corpses lol

Yeah. With R6 TH and R3 Lucky I break sometimes 2 or 3 in a row in NM with 64% chance to retain. I don't mind that. I ran 14 lps in Witmans the other day and got about 2k unlucky points, 10k lucky points and a 15^50 hammer haha. That's what I most like about Witmans is the chance to get good ol uninscribable weapons.
As for the outcast shield, Gyala Hatchery is a good place to run, if you get the chest up by that big structure, in the sand there. Just south of the earth yeti boss. I got an Outcast shield from that, req 12 +28 health -2 in stance. Those things are nice, but kinda rare. There's probably a few more areas, like Rheas Crater where you can find more Outcast mobs but Gyala is the easiest to run.
Oh and yeah if you guys couldn't tell from my participation in this thread, chest running is my favorite thing to do. I miss the 2006 days where we had group runs. Nahpui, Raisu, Melandrus, Hells.. good fun.

I Find silent surf is a good area to run as well. Normally 4-5 chest takes about 6 min and get good non-insc skins (jade swords, long bows, oni blades, outcast and plague born stuff as well) you can sell to offset the cost of your picks. If you are working on your drunk title as well you also get 6-7 points during the run.

I use warrior. As long as you have a run and a way to remove a hex it's possible to run it, at least in NM. A warrior or a sin can pretty much run everywhere, especially warrior. I've seen a necro run Gyala though and I"m sure it's possible with any other class if you use /A or /W.
